So decided to start changing my seats over tonight to the e46 elec / heated that i recently purchased. I decided to change over the seatbelt runner so that i can keep the correct seatbelt anchor point. Point 1 and its a biggie, MAKE SURE THE RUNNER ANCHOR HOLES ARE ALIGNED!!, let me explain: replaced the runner with the seat belt anchor, what i did not do was align the runners before attempting to refit the seat :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: However once aligned all went swimmingly
Drivers side to do tomorrow i may take the hardtop off first to make it easier and will take pics once its done. Mrs F is happier though as these new seats are heated
Should look good when its done especially as i had my Royals wheel fitted today too.

So you old seats didn't have heaters then ? Mrs FB loves the heated seats in the Z :)
Don't forget the photos when it's all done

Nope Fred no heaters in the old seats and non-heated seats used to make my ears bleed

Oh no, I feel you’re pain.... :(
I did the same thing when fitting my e46 seats. I must have lifted the seat in & out 20 times trying to align the holes before I realised the runners needed adjusting.
Yep, I think you’ll find the drivers seat much easier to install with the hard top removed

Seats are in and nicely toast my arse.

Have triggered the air bag light though. :headbang:
So how do i get rid of that?

Those seats look much better.

Sorry I can't help with the airbag light - I'm guessing you need someone who can rest a code?

Sure there's someone in Cambridge (IAmOrion?) with carly might shift the air bag light for you

Yup, Carly LIES about the airbag light, it says it can, but won't - Typical female!!

Have you swapped the original seat belt tensioners over to the new seats Russ? They have a hall sensor in them for the seatbelt buckle, whereas the E46 one's don't. Took me a while to figure that on when we did [ref]bz4kev[/ref]'s if you have, if you didn't disconnect the battery you may have tuned the ign on to move the elec seats? That'd cause it if you did it before everything was connected.

My Launch will do it, and also tell us exactly where the problem is if there is one.

No i didnt swap the tensioners, if i need to do that i will do it after coming to yours, if i have time tomorrow i may take them off and bring them with me.

Only difference between the one i did today compared to yesterday is the time between disconnecting the battery and disconnecting the seat. T he time was alot lot shorter today as i was trying to beat the rain. so we shall see after its been to Doctor Mike's

From memory, a single T50 torx bolt. you'll need to remove the wiring connectors from the multiblock. If you look, more than likely the old ones have two connectors, whereas the ones that came with your new seats will only have one.
