Had my car nearly 3 months - bought an old bmw scrappy wheel to put on my zed while I got one wheel at a time done so I could keep my car in my garage ( didn't fancy leaving my car for a week at bodyshop ). Despite the car having only covered 28k miles since new (one owner ) and being garaged all the time the wheels let the car down - kerbed and peeling lacquer . A local bodyshop I've been using for years did them for me - all four were sandblasted , painted and lacquered - he separated the rims before painting the centres so all the bolts remain chromed - only compromise was to have the rims painted instead of diamond cut but at £220 total cost it was still a bargain imo.
Whole car now looks really good and all the paintwork is original - some very slight stone chips on the front but I've touched them in and they hardly show - prefer doing this than repainting as it keeps it original.
