After a 5 month wait I got it today.
After owning 3 other Z4’s, my last was a 35is, I would say this:
Ride is much better. Less harsh and crash than 35is.
Overall handling is very much improved; this holds a line better than previous Z4’s and feels planted.
Interior finish is fantastic and worthy of the marque.
iDrive7 brings BMW into the new age. It’s fresh, beautiful to look at and functional.
Engine: jury’s still out in this, as I’m running it in still.
Looks: beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but every time I look at this car something else catches my eye. It’s fab in black and smooths the sharp lines but retains the muscular stance and angular cuts. Everyone that’s sees it have all said positive things, and at the end of the day, it’s my view that counts, and I love it.
Price: yup expensive. But when I specc’d a 718 Boxster S it came in over £75k. The driving experience is key and that includes the features a car has on it.
Happy so far? Yes definitely.
