Mmm I don't mind just putting it on cruise at 60 when doing large amounts of motorway miles, very comfy so just chill and listen to music

The Bose system is fantastic we have it in the Q

How did the insurance compare compared to your 3.0? I was actually surprised how cheap Audis were to insure as they seem to have good crash records (as in low I assume). Our Audi was not much more to insure (including 21 / 20 year old) as a Polo (about £100 difference I think).

I got a £39 refund on my policy ending July when changing the Z4 for the S5

That is interesting though, as Audi really seem to be a good car to buy for performance without getting hammered on premium.

That and Porsche as that amazed me as well as how cheap it was considering the car was 7 times the value of my M.

I think Porsche would be alot more for me than the Audi.

The insurance company told me at the time with my Audi that it all depended on spec and colour. If you took another identical car in say red, it could be twice the amount to insure as red Audis S5 might have a bad accident record compared to black for example.

It was something I had not really considered, so if you chose a popular colour, it could well be an expensive mistake due to insurance.

Once rolling I could hit high 20s easily in V8 645 but the minute it was idling in trafiic the countdown begun until it bottomed out around 16/17mpg
No need for tunes on though

I guess thats why audi switched to the 3.0T on the facelift S5. Those can achieve mid 30's mpg quite easily.... But dont sound half as good.

One thing i have quickly found with Audi... They massively overrate their efficiency... Unlike BMW which are normally quite accurate.

Unbelievably so yes. 55.4 mpg for mine, yes - that is 30 in real life then.

Mine has listed 45mpg extra urban, 35 combined.... My 13mile commute mainly 70mph A roads gives under 26mpg!!!
