Few things; carbon, nav, head unit.

Hi guys hope your all well, a few things really.

1. The nav system is it standard that it picks up on live traffic updates I only noticed it yesterday as it tried to redirect me from a crash on the M4 or do you have to pay for this yearly or something?

2. The head unit is there anyway to play your music through blue tooth I can only make calls if not is there a BMW 'approved' aftermarket one that I can do this through, one of my friends has a BMW one series and he upgraded the head unit but they had to split the dash I don't want to do that but I don't want anything too flash to replace is if that makes sense?

3. Mainly an opinion wanted or pictures if anyone has anything like it but what do you guys think of carbon fibre bonnet and boot is it too much? And does anyone have any pics if this on their own car?

Hi,

1. No subscription. This is just standard for the car. Likewise, you will find if you zoom out on maps you will also see weather etc. There are also a few different map view, one is colour coded for traffic density.

2. My windows phone plays music via Bluetooth. - it's just another device on the idrive list if you select CD/media

Thanks for that I'll have to have a play next time im in the car :).

Must just be my rubbish Iphone then I know there blue tooth is rubbish anyway.

Oh I have a 2010 model presumably wont have it then... Any idea were to get carbon bonnet from I have a white 89 so not sure if its too in your face? Also is there much difference between the weight?
