Sorry new to the Z4 world, so figured you guys would know!

I've been looking at pictures and the silver gray metallic and the space gray look near identical! Does anyone by chance have a picture of the two side by side for comparison?


The wheels on the Z4 I am picking up are factory 19" rims. I couldn't find anywhere who makes them or if they have a specific name. The closest thing I've seen was competition package

And the headlights are rather foggy, so I was wanting to replace them, but I'm not sure if there are any quality replacements out there. I know for the e36, there are like 2-3 brands that make nice angel eye conversion, then a lot of junk ones available lol. So I was hoping for recommendations for a good brand :D

About the headlights - considered one of those kits that revive misted/ milky looking headlights? I used a 3M one on mine and it did a pretty respectable job of it despite my lack of DIY skills. Cost about £20 and easily did both lights.
 
I'm getting my headlights restored this coming Friday as the previous owner had that fly-eye film all over them and it's left them looking spotty where the sun has faded the headlight through the fly-eye holes. A local detailing chap does it for £30, and I didn't trust myself to be let loose with a sanding disc on the end of my drill. :oops:
 
If the wheels are 19" they are most likely reps. Very very unlikely to be a genuine BMW wheel.
 
There is a post on hear somewhere I think about how to find the paint code. Use the search function.

There are also a few threads about the wheels and how to tell if they are genuine.

As above restore the headlights. It's easy to do and as far as I know there are no quality replacements? But if you do replace them. Your lights will be valuable and dort after. As I believe all Ms had xenon lights? And obviously they have clear (not orange indicators)
 
Silver Grey on left, Space Grey on right.

Space grey is slightly darker and a deeper grey, while silver grey has a light blue-ish hue to it.

The wheels were purchase through BMW

I guess I could wait until I pick it up in 2-3 weeks and look at the paperwork, but of course it's hard not to be overly eager :P

Thank you for those pictures! That is really nice to see side by side!!!
They are very similar, but I do recall it having the blue hue to it, as it was near identical in color to my old Eclipse that I used to drag race.
 
Pretty sure 19" rims were never an option, so if they are genuine then the won't have come with the car originally.

You can use a VIN lookup to get the spec sheet of the car with all it's options and paint colour.

If you want angel eyes then 2xcite have some.
