Few little niggles with the new Zed.

Picked up new car from Sytner Chigwell, 3 weeks ago. Couple if little probs and one I hope isn't nothing to bad. Front fogs have been misted up since day one, got an annoying rattle in the roof by my right ear (if you tap the roof hard from inside by the roof joint you get a metal rattle sound). The one I think could be the most worried about is if it's wet outside and you drop drivers window, when you put back up again the inside of the windouses as wet as the outside, must be water getting into the door.

Sytner taking it in next week to have a look at all 3, just wondering if anyone had any similar probs with roof or window, seen the posts about fog lights. It's a 2.0i sport 2007. Sorry still haven't put any pics up as still got no home laptop and all posts made through my iPhone.

Cheers

Have the problem, on occasions, with the fogs but nothing that doesn't soon dry out on a run with the lights on. As for the other two issues let's hope the garage can sort them out.

'Front fogs have been misted up since day one,'

- I had this on a Sytner supplied Z4 Coupe. They will replace the fog lights under warranty if you ask. (they do a 'test' whereby if the condensation does not disappear after about 20 mins of running/lights on, they replace :D ).

Ask them.

I had my fogs changed last friday under my warranty due to the misting.

You certainly shouldnt be getting the inside of your windows wet when you lower them though.

Just a quick update :-

Window has had seal replaced along the door/window, they checked inside door for damp all ok, window dry inside now.

Front fogs being replaced, had to order these in but needed the car back today for the tomorrow and weekend, so doing these next Friday.

Roof was slightly out of line and needed tightening and adjusting(???!!). They have said that they have given the whole roof a going over, tightened all up and re-greased/lubricated everything.

This was all done at Sytner Chigwell with no questions asked or hassle, all done under warranty, can't complain about service or anything at all, so big thumbs up for them from me.

The rattle could be a broken rear spring. I had a rattle which I couldnt work out where it was from as it was occasional. But was sounding as though it was from behind my head in the boot. Quick check look and see if the gap between wheel and arch is about the same on both sides providing your on a level surface.

Def ain't the spring. Had them checked before I bought it and looked at them at weekend. It was coming from the roof, the join just by your right ear. All seems ok, well did in the 500yds I drove from Stealers to work!!
