I like most Christmas songs from all eras except Slade, I cannot stand that Slade song in fact I cant stand Slade :headbang: I was a teenager in the late 60’s hated them then and still do now also not a Cliff Richards fan.

Favourite possibly Fairy Tale of New York - The Pogue and Kirsty MacColl

:poke: :poke: Shame on you :poke: :poke:
Slade were the best band of all time
So for me it has to be
MERRY XMAS EVERYBODY

  I suppose it stems from that association between Slade and ‘Skin heads’ in the early 70’s, I was a biker into proper music ‘Rock’

Gosh showing my age now, OMG I was 16 when Slade formed in 1969

There are so many good songs, I recently heard this Norwegian Christmas song called Tenn Lys which I found quite beautiful

Sounds like some bloke playing a guitar to me :)

Now starts a debate as to whether a song has to have words or not
How would you know? :)

For me I think you sing a song and listen to an instrumental, however in everyday speech "song" is used to refer to any musical piece, regardless of whether it has lyrics or not. Well thats my opinion :D

I always seem to get a three hour drive home on my last working day, so when I'm driving home and I hear Driving Home For Christmas on the radio ( I think he plays it on Dec 23rd every year) I finally start to feel festive.
