Fault codes -- airbag / high-beam / climate

Hi all,

My 2011 E89 runs well, and no check engine light is showing. However if I plug in my generic (Stoga) ELM327 widget, Car Scanner Pro on my iPhone lists quite the range of fault codes. I've recently had the car's battery changed and recalibrated, as I was seeing some other weird behaviour, but the following codes persist after clearing all diagnostic codes:

SRS/Airbag
C947 -- "Status: Pending fault present during this drive cycle. Validated fault present at time of request."

High beam assist
A7C8, E0C4, E0C7, E0D4, E0D5, E0D6, E0D7, E0D8, E0D9, E0DA, E0DB, E0DC -- all with a blank/unknown status.

Climate/heater/Air conditioning
E72E -- "Status: Test conditions are met. Validated fault present at time of request."

The app I use unhelpfully just suggests I search for these codes online, and I'm not finding anything conclusive when I do so. That said, I suspect the codes for high beam assist are spurious -- perhaps the app is simply misunderstanding the response that it's getting from that module.

When I took my car into an independent BMW specialist for a different issue recently, their own reader only reported the C947 fault, describing it as "(multiple restraint system; K-CAN communication fault)". The mechanics suggested that it's not something to worry about, although it makes me a little uneasy seeing a persistent fault code in a safety module. The aircon one also intrigues me, though again it seems to be working fine.

Any thoughts/advice?
Stuart.

Welcome to the forum by the way.

Look at it this way.................... if you didn't have a code reader you'd be none the wiser.
The only way you would know anything is if your BMW specialist highlighted it.

I have a code reader. I use it to identify issues that have made themselves known through other media (performance, handling, warning lights etc)
I purposely don't go searching for issues I don't know are there.
That way madness lies.

OK, so not very helpful, but realistic IMHO.
Forget you ever saw them, go out and enjoy it. :D

Howdy -- thank you for the welcome! :-)

Yep, that's sort of been my attitude for the past year that I've owned the car -- I guess I'm a little more cautious with the code relating to the safety system though -- whilst it's not a part of the car I intend to test out, it'd be a bonus if it were actually working... That said, if it's pretty par for the course, and I can safely ignore it until the car starts boinging about it, I'll forget I ever saw it...

If connect reader i know airbag will come up, because i disconnect the overhead cabin light to have windshield installed.
So things can be disturbed quite innocently and flag faults.

Anything serious in the safety side of things will quickly give you a red light and a 'bong'.
