Fault Code Readers

Having had a fault code come up relating to the outer DISA valve, I am wondering which fault code readers also have the ability to run tests on the DISA valves and other bits.
Having looked at lots of adverts it seems the reader needs to have bi-directional control, but when you try to drill into them it all gets a bit vague as to how much tests they can actually run.

You need one of the Tablet Scanners like Launch, TopDon or Autel, the more you pay the more these scanners can do most have the same software on them. I use a a Launch CRP919E scanner that I bought a few years ago, that is bi-directional capable and has numerous test facilities on it. It came with 2 years free updates and when that ran out it cost £146 for a 1year update licence. Works great on my Z3 and Z4 as well as worldwide makes.

Or you can get INPA with a b-cable, which can run diagnostic and test your DISA.
