Hey peeps, I finally managed to get a day with time to spare and decent weather so I broke out the Farecla WAX TOP I've had for months, at the suggestion of Fifth Gear when they did some flame thrower, fire engine hose blast, test on a number of different polishes... Here's the WAX TOP results, not the best pics from the old iPhone, but you get the idea...

Cheers Guys, it didnt take that long to do, goes on and off like a dream the faracla stuff, not exactly wet look, but certainly shiny!

The guys on detailing World did a trial of waxes. Basically they preped several identical cars then applied waxes from £2000 Grand Royale down to Turtle Wax for £4.99 etc. Guess what? You couldn't really tell the difference :) obviously some might last longer than others but the actual finish on the cars was much the same. Really goes to show that to get a good finish with your wax or sealant of choice it'e the prep that counts. A good claying, glaze/polish etc then wax will give the best results.

The tyre dressing was an old can of something I had in the shed... picked it up from a pound shop ages ago lol... it doesn't last on the tyre too long, but looks lovely for a time. I'll check on the can when I get home and let you know, that is, if the other half hasn't binned it as I left it on the worktop ;)
