Falken tyres on an M

My friend always puts Falken 452's on his M3, he drives like a loon so goes through a lot of tyres, and said the Falkens were more than good enough. He works as part of Nico Rosbergs F1 pit crew so he knows his stuff aswell.

I've used conti's on 18' wheels then Cups, PS2's, Vredesteins, Kumho's and currently Falkens on 19's.

Falkens are a very good budget tyre.

Outright grip is not 1st class but it is more than acceptable. One real strength is steering response. They make the car feel like it is on tip toes. Quite darty, which may or may not suit you. I think this may be the reason they are so popular on performance 4WD cars where the steering feel is improved but the weaker grip levels are compensated for by the 4WD.

Buy with confidence!

I have run Falken FK452 in 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 on my Z4MC since April 2007. They are good enough for a 8m low teens lap of the Nurburgring in my hands and cost 50% less than the comparable Michelin Pilot Sport 2. Cannot complain really - Falken is owned by Dunlop/Goodyear...

And does that size work out ok. I assume so as you have persevered with them.

the sizes are perfect - still very close to the correct overal diameter so you don't confuse your ABS/DSC and you get a bit more grip in theory. I would keep the same size even if I switched brands...
