Falken 452 Tyres again,,

I need to change my fronts, I have run flats at the moment and would like to change to non run flats all round, refering to an earlier thread I followed about Falken 452 tyres. some of you had just put them on, basically I wondered if you could say, now they are scrubbed in, how you are finding them? and would you recommend them?

I checked out some prices, wow I couldnt believe how inexpensive they are compared to others.

Thanks in advance

They are awesome mate, i am about half way down my second set on the Z, all the hype is right get them bought, you will never ever again get ripped off paying the prices of branded stuff like Michelins, Goodyears etc etc etc.............

Now that mine are scrubbed in, the grip is phenomanal. Though in the runflats defense they were low treads. The ride is way improved. Very little tramlining, you don't feel the bumps quite as bad. The car overall feels way more sure footed than it did with the runflats on. I'm completly blown away by these tires. They are great. Did I mention they are great? :D

has anyone tried using the falkens on track? they're pretty cheap over here in singapore and not too popular with the tracking crowd.

and i'm surprised that Goodyears are considered "branded" stuff like Michelins. over here, goodyears are just about one of the cheapest well-known brands around. about the same price as falkens.

i've used the much lauded goodyear f1 eagles.... similar grip to our re050a runflats in the dry if i'm perfectly honest. currently using goodyear revspec02. again, pretty decent in grip and just a little cheaper than the f1 eagles.

Thanks for the input guys

Have ordered them today,,£ 440 all four fitted, I thought that was a good deal.

You just want to make me cry

I did have a good look round, but to be fair buying them direct and then getting them fitted, just wasnt worth the trouble.

i have just had a look on the site and am not sure where you get your price from, assuming your have the normal 225/40 and 255/35 18s it comes to £338.44 delivered.... :?

Bloody hell, I must have pressed the wrong buttons on the calculator, you are right,, I will cancel with the people I ordered from, it no problem they said it would take three days to get them in, now to find someone to fit them,,

I owe you a beer Plowy, thanks mate

I would say an absolute maximum of £10 a corner to fit and balance, i get mine done for £6 a corner, shop around for fittment, don't like to see people get ripped off... :)

Went to order them on Falken tyres site, guess what they didnt have enough in stock, so dug in for a good search,

And ordered them from here, http://www.camskill.co.uk/ £314.00 delivered. so if anyone is looking for any.

Every cloud has a silver lining

RustyZ4 - How you finding the new tyres? Glad you changed?

Plowy - Interested to know how many miles you getting out of the Falkens and does that include track days, as I won't be tracking the car!!

Cheers
