Facelift front fogs

Lifer
 South East UK
In a bad state (Scottish car) and fitted the nice new ones.

I know some want to refurb these, so won’t chuck them yet.

I had a set where the internal chrome plating had corroded and looked like sand.
Trying to separate them cleanly was a job and a half and I ended up giving up. Others may have more patience.

Perhaps a better option would be to use these to test colour coding the outside to match the body work. A simple swap back if it’s not for you.

I stripped a pair a while back. Took about 20 minutes each to soak them in hot water then ease the two halves apart. Scrubbed what little remained of the plating off, rubbed them down and painted the insides black. Then fitted £4-worth of LED DRL strips and popped them back together.

You want another set Martin? Put in an offer of £0 and they are yours

I already have another set to do.
Maybe someone else will see this and try doing the same.

That is 2 hours away from me (Sussex). Can post though

I am in Guildford and will also take them if for some reason others drop out. I refurbed the ones on my car and they came out pretty good.... but I can do much better second time, and I am determined to prove it to myself!

Ok Fred, however I have agreed to post them to meds (assuming the post office does not think that the white powder is either drugs or anthrax  )

First come first served is fair.... but here if for some reason they don't go elsewhere! Thanks!
