Facelift fog light lenses

I just wondered if anyone has ever come across replacement lenses for the fog lights like I’ve seen for the headlights?

I’ve split, sandblasted and primed the old bodies and the lenses are going to let them down.

How did you split them? I fancy refurbing mine but I don't want to try splitting them and I break them

Stanley knife (watch those fingers!) and much swearing.
Keep cutting through the glue a little at a time, gently pulling apart as you go, you'll get there in the end.
Those 'reverse pliers' that spread instead of squeeze would probably be helpful.
You can put them in the oven to soften the glue, but I didnt need to.

I machine polished mine, then protected with wax, then applied a film. They came up pretty good.
Drilled some drain holes in the bottom of the lens to allow some air circulation, while sealing up the factory vent holes on the body with silicone.

I just sat mine in a bucket of hot water for five minutes then gently piulled them apart. Needed a couple of extra dunks to soften the sealant during the process.

I’ll try the hot water next time. I put mine in the oven on 140 for 20 mins. The sealant doesn’t soften but the heat and expansion did the trick and they pulled apart quite easily.
I think I’ll also try chrome powder coating them if I can figure out the lens challenge. I’ll follow you Meds and give them a sand and polish.
