Here we have ALL the parts necessary for a clear indicator conversion that I will no longer need. Well everything except for a Dremel and some sealant!
First part is an intact post face lift drivers side xenon headlight that is slightly damaged, looks like water damage to the headlight lens only and also has a dislodged angel eye. But critically the indicator (hockey stick) is fine and unaffected (see the photos) so is ideal as a donor unit. It has no xenon bulb, ballast, igniter or rear cover.
Paired to this is a passenger side clear indicator (hockey stick) I have already removed from a post face lift halogen headlight that was accident damaged. The indicator lens housing, not the hockey stick itself is slightly damaged but easily repairable. There's a couple of lugs broken (but are supplied with it) that could be either glued or plastic welded (you can do this simply with a soldering iron) back on. Additionally there is some minor corrosion to the chrome finish but with the indicator lens in place its not noticeable. (again see pics)
Crucially the clear indicator (hockey stick) lens itself is fine!
One of the 2 orange glass domes that shroud the indicator bulbs is also broken (pieces supplied) so you can either have a go at glueing them back together or cover the bulb in something like kapton electrical tape that with glow orange when lit.
Alternatively you could do what I was going to do, which was use the clear lens with my existing orange lens housing. Apparently they clip on 3 or the 5 clips and its more than enough to hold it in place. I was then going to use LED indicator bulbs so I wouldn't need the orange glass domes at all and code out the any bulb warnings/bulb checks with Carly or NCS Expert.
