Extremely cheap hardtop

One way to put someone out of business

eBay need to start policing gumtree, unless that's their plan to buy all these sort of sites then run them into the ground

Warning.....This is a scam. This place is about 2 miles down the road from my house, and for a start it's name changed several years ago! I called them direct. (Not the number in the ad) and they told me the advert is fake, as is the contact number. It appears the scammers are advertising parts very cheap, then when you call they ask you to transfer them money. You then go to collect parts which don't exist. The guy I spoke to says they have had loads of problems with this. (Apparently there have been fake ads placed for loads of stuff) Just for the record, the breaker in question is genuine and reputable, and has been there for many years (although the name has changed) I have used them many many times. (Perhaps this is why the scammers are using their name?)

Anyway...Just one more scam to look out for!!!

I take it that you are taking about the same genuine company I mentioned earlier in this thread called U Pull It http://u-pull-it.co.uk/locations.html

That's correct swiftly. For many years they were A.G Watson Autosalvage, but they have been u-pull it for a number of years now. That said would imagine that many people would still know the place as Watsons, and indeed I still hear it referred to as that locally.

The seller (if genuine!) will probably see this thread now and put the price up by £700! Strell, if 10 miles away why not go take a look?
Sorry I meant the other one you listed was 10 miles away.
I was texting the person in this add. It seemed half decent. He was saying I could collect and pay by cash or chip and pin. Or he could use a courier.
What kind of gave it away for me was when he said it would only be £30 to post. I thought that was way too cheap for something so big.
That and he wouldn't accept PayPal only bank transfer.

That is a blast from the past, I remember A G Watson Autosalavage as I have used them in many years ago when I worked in Dalgety Bay. :)
