Extended Warranties.

Hi,

I have just got a 2006 Z4 2.5 Si Sport. I am thinking ahead to when the standard warranty runs out in 1.5 years. WHat options do I hae for extending it and what kind of prices am I looking at. Also, what do people think about third party rather than BMW extended warranties?

I did my research on extended warranties when I bought my 2003 Z4 from a Auction house.

I found out that 99% of all dealer extended warranties are way overpriced.

There are other sites but these are what I could remember.......

There are only a few companies that are fully insured by an A-rated insurance company, and have a five star rating.

I agree, I think ALL extended third party warranties are overpriced and I'm not too confident about dealers honoring them either.

Too bad BMW doesn't sell extended warranties... or have things changed since I last checked?

and over here they are very expensive...

Why go to BMW and pay through the nose,, just take out a private warranty with a motor insurance company (thats all any one elses is), there are loads do it, price is very reasonable, do an internet search and take your pick
