My Z4M is up for first MOT and end of BMW waranty although has AUC till the end of the year. Dealer is offering £75 for MOT and a pre-warranty end check to find anything that might be corrected under warranty. Has anyone used this service and could comment on its worht?

Sounds OK to me, got to be worth it for that kind of cash. Think the MOT is about half that anyway.
Had it done on mine before the standard warranty finished. They didn't find anything but, a month or so after the warranty ended there was a slight issue, small enough I don't recall what it was (steering I think), after I pointed out that I'd had the check done they (Cooper Reading) sorted it FoC. As others have said it's a good price 
I laughed at them when they asked me to pay for one on top of a service 
They eventually said they'd do it anyway (and rightly so as i was already paying for them to inspect the car) and amazingly didn't find anything either...
As Pawn said though, it could be used as a recourse just incase something dies a month or so down the line - never thought of that!
