Experience with either of these outdoor Z4M roadster covers?

Couple of questions - have you used any of these good or bad comments/experiences please share... would like to get one for my new Z4M roadster but don't want to buy the 'wrong' one! If there's an alternative you KNOW is brilliant please let me know...

Its a cover from BMW for a BMW car and fits very well. Not sure what else to say.

I also have the smaller soft top cover which I use more often. Protecting the softop is probably a good idea as it is an expensive item to replace.

Also number 1 for me. As said fits well, although I have had a problem with paint sweat when left on for long periods. Leaves a dull finish on the paint work. Should be ok for a few days at a time but not all winter.

Surely cover number 2 on my link wouldn't affect the paint though?

I just put the soft top cover on if the car is left for a few days without being driven. For longer, I put the large cover on and also connect a trickle charger.

I had an expensive 'soft' Noah cover think it was over £200. Blew off in strong winds and the waterproofing failed after 12 months or so.

I used a 'cheaper' one size fits all type for the Z4M when I bought it until it went into a garage. Again, strong winds can blow them off the car so I tied it down but sweating and flapping does cause some minor damage to paintwork if left on for long periods IMO.

However, better covered than exposed to full elements, cats etc etc. Looking at pics I'd go for '1'.

If I go for option 2 will that protect the roof and also not cause paint sweating as it would appear it just keeps the fabric protected? A good coat of wax keeps the cats sliding off anyway ;0)
