Exhausts

Thought I would keep my Mcoupe stock as it's mint and low mileage but couldn't resist painting my calipers red, then you are on the top of a slippery and expensive slope!
Spent ages reading threads about exhaust upgrades as although the stock exhaust sounded great, it was lacking a je ne sais quoi.
Looked at the forum threads and although the most expensive option, went for the Eisenmann race axle back cans as I had seen (& heard) an M6 in portsmouth that made me stand to attention.
I paid my £over 4 figures to Roy at CA and waited 5 weeks for delivery as they are made to order.
I was really disappointed with the cans when they arrived as the German manufacturer couldn't be bothered to clean off the highly polished stainless and they had cloudy stains where the welds were. One of them was also badly tarnished on a visable part (when fitted).
An hour with a dremmel polisher and a duster sorted out my disappointment but I was left thinking that for over a grand, why was I doing this?
Once fitted, Roy explained that there would be some white smoke whilst they bedding in and burnt off - he was right! It's a bit disconcerting watching the car behind disappear in a stinking white cloud when you pull away from the lights.
Now for the positive bit - the cans are amazing! The sound is fantastic and with the tubes now 83mm and the very shiny bottom part of the can sticking out under the bumper, they look stunning. The bonus is that there is a noticeable increase in torque and power, which I really wasn't expecting, for such a small upgrade.
When I can figure out how to reduce the photo file size, I'll post some pics.
Now investigating induction and BBK's - looks like another expensive minefield!

Would love a good exhaust video of that setup!

I dunno if this will help or not but here's a tutorial on how to post pictures on here. http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=640
