Exhaust

"exhaust nuts and bolts are corroded it looks we will actually need to replace the cat as it won’t allow us to remove them as they are attached to the cat it would mean having to replace the full component."

This is a snippet of an email from the stealers. Leaky exhaust slightly blowing and causing P114D code. I went in for an annual health check as my MOT very kindly got extended and afore mentioned symptoms. So... Does any one know if the cat is attached and the whole thing will need changing? I can't get under the car as my access to a ramp has gone with Corvid. But, from what I remember, it's a join in the exhaust not a whole section??

Go to Real OEM site and put last 6 letters and numbers of your cars Vin number in and view the exhaust parts diagram to check
