Exhaust Upgrade

Fellow Zeds..

I have a 3.0 E85 and have been thinking for some time of getting the exhaust upgraded, either just the back box or a stainless steel complete replacement.

The sound I would like to get close to is that rasp I used to love from the E46 M3 (Stock exhaust) upon acceleration. What I don't want is a loud boom or to sound like a boy racer! I am 40 now dam it! :thumbsdown:

Any advice? In terms of exhausts? where to go? anyone upgraded theres?

I'm in the same boat as you. I've got an AC Schnitzer and it sounds better than stock but I can't say it sounds anything close to an e46 M3. I don't know if you'll achieve a sound like that for the Z without removing the cat and mid-muffler.

sounds good mate, I'm currently trawling through you tube but not much on there tbh

Hmm, could I put an m3 engine in! ..joke! I do love that rasp though..
 
I'm considering the exact same thing at the moment. I think a good overall compromise between price and sound is a Bastuck exhaust which is just over 700 euro + shipping for the full system.

It was custom made by a company in St. Helens called Power Valve
