Exhaust Trims? I'm Losing It!

I know lads and ladies, I am getting sad already,

Today, I have purchased some new wheel centre caps (thought I would get 2 sets, one blue and white and the other black and white and see what I prefer as the existing ones are looking a little tired).

I searched the shed to see if I could find my Autosol Chrome Metal Cleaner to start on the exhaust pipes but I have obviously used it all on other vehicles previously.

That got me thinking should I just look for some chrome tail pipes to freshen up the look ?

Anyone done this? P.S - dont want to spend a fortune of course!

F30 tail pipes fit perfectly as an other member was selling a set this week , there 3inch longer than the z4,s but I assume the can be cut down to fit snug against the z4 oem inner pipe tip

Z4 oem are approx £100 these a pair are £40

They look ok m8 - how much ?

They look rounder than the original exhaust pipes but I guess it makes no odds - screw into existing pipes to fit?

I think they were around £40 delivered. There's a screw at the back which holds it onto the original blackbox outlets. Mine and have been on over a year now so no worries about them falling off.

Do you have to remove the original tips to fit those mate?

I tried polishing mine up and while better I think they were too far gone to ever have a great finish again.

Yes, the original tips need to be removed and are only held on with a small bolt.

Once they are full of carbon inside, you can't see the original blackbox exits.

Cheers, they look good. I thought the original tips just pulled off (I imagine they are rather hard to remove, too).

I'm not into the chrome look, makes the car look cheap... I plasti-dipped my exhaust a few months back along with my wheels... looks great and has not peeled off or worn. That includes having a new tire fitted and multiple washes on a weekly basis.
