Exhaust mod wanted in London

I'm looking for a backbox mod in London. Back in Nov I'd booked in Pauls car welding to do mine on Dec 19th. Took the day off work without pay and he text me on Sunday 18th saying he wasn't coming and hasn't replied to any of my texts. :x
So if anyone can do this mod for me I'd be grateful. Don't mind driving up to 100 miles to get it done.

Not the first time I've heard this about him.. Probably realised that there is a LOT more work involved than the M3 mod, which is basically a case of cutting it open, wrapping some pipes and fitting a few clips before welding it back up. I reckon I could do one of those in an hour after getting it off, whereas modding a Z4 box takes me about 5 hours once removed..

Wow, that's a long time. Maybe someone on here will be able to point me to someone in London who can help. PCW obviously has issues around commitment. I'd like to put it differently, but that's face to face stuff not for online ranting.

I think I've finally nailed PCW down for the exhaust mod. I've got a definite idea of what I want it to sound like, or the 'loudness' to be more precise. I don't want it droning away in lower rev ranges when I'm cruising along at 70. I just want a bit of growl when accelerating and a subtle burble when idling. Is it possible to achieve this?

Machine Monkey did mine and I'm quite pleased with it so it might be worth your messaging him.

He isn't in London though however not too far away.

Yes, that's just what my mod does, and in the time you've been waiting, you could have pushed your car to mine and back! :P

I'm still waiting to see if he'll actually turn up and do the mod..

If you fancy a bit more driving, I have a box done and ready to fit, takes less than 30 mins.

But you would have enjoyed the last 3 months lol..

Mike

Lol. I've enjoyed the last 3 months, hehe. I've spoken with PCW today and he's deffo on. You should bump the backbox available thread, it's summer soon and I'm sure there'll be someone looking to hear their exhaust. No point in a car you can't hear. Unless you like it like that  Out of interest, do you have any pics of your modding process? No pics of an exhaust mod on the forum yet. I'm going to take pics of the process and post them up. It's being done on the 27th Feb.
