Exhaust emission light

The 'Daten' files affect the language, so if you downloaded the latest ones you will find they are in German, only the older files (which are fine for the Z) have been translated. I used v51.2 from around 2009 and they are fine.

Emission error codes should be in the Engine section. I assume you can read the data like Analogue engine data etc when the car is running,?
 
Dude, you need to keep just one thread running on OBD cables and software...

You turn the ignition to Pos II, then connect the cable and start INPA. You should have both the two "lights" (black dots) filled in to confirm the connection is working.

From there you can run the engine diagnostics, either Read Error Memory (ngine..M54..Rear Error Status) or start the engine and read the analalog/digital data (engine...M54...Analog (F2??))
