Daren I think the forum wants you to do s video of your cars exhaust.

Happy to do Mat but they'll have to wait until Spring! Take my word for it guys, easy cheap mod that will make your car sound much throatier, Mat's the man for your parts ( 3/4" pipes etc direct to you to get fitted ) or if you're not too far away visit Monkey Towers and get the full treatment plus biscuits! :D :driving:

Darren has assured me he will send me some biscuits to hand out! As I am as tight as a camels ass in a sand storm!!

Mike I have done a few exhsust mods bypass and other things. On an M54 what your doing works really well.

I did similar on a s54 about 3 years ago and it didn't sound good. Far to raspy for the internal mod to work on the s54 you need to cut out the internals and make a resonating chamber out of perforated sheet.

The s54 and m54 just seem to like different things.

Precisely what I want to avoid and the reason I have not bitten the bullet until I saw the thread mentioning your work, Mat. Remind of the user again?

I cant remember who had the first mod with the pipe.
But the second one was for jimmybell and sounded really good.

Pokes nose in;)

1 metal ring per bank
However I'd replace nuts and bolts as can stick and throw a bunny and sheer one
Ref pipes being straight
Hang in hangers firstly
Connect up flanges and bolts remembering ring hand tight
Do up hangers fully
Correct the pipes at the flanges connection:)

Screwfix sell the right size in stainless also, I replaced mine recently along with the repair clamps as the original cast ones had cracked, and looked dreadful, like a rusting WW1 ship!

i got an email from steve at warren and they can make some sets up:

We do make them from time to time, we don’t carry any stock but the last time we made them we made 4 sets @ £28.00 per set plus vat and carriage. Smaller quantity will be a higher unit cost.

Please note they are ¾” o.d not bore that we supply.

let me know if anyone is up for a set
