Evil Transformer added to fleet

Hello all,

No doubt rather polarising - but I've just added a Civic Type R to my fleet. As I mentioned in another thread I was intending to buy an M2 but much preferred this

It's only done 250 miles but so far, massively impressed with it

- Great Turn in
- Bags of torque
- Revs nicely for a turbo
- Best feel of any modern electric steering rack I've driven
- Fantastic gearbox - rifle bolt like - would be familiar to anyone who's owned an S2000

The car will be my daily and track day car and I'm planning a few choice mods - exhaust and intake but really doesn't need anything else

Blimey, some severe styling going on there! - see that bearing down on you and your likely to give way :D Great colour

Each to there own, but I think the Civic has got uglier and uglier over the years - and this version is the worst.

That said, I bet it drives amazingly and leaves you smiling from cheek to cheek! Enjoy! :D

It's a good job you can't see the outside when your driving it ! :o Looks like it was styled by Adidas ! :D No doubt it's a great drivers car but not my cuppa tea. Each unto their own though.

From what I have read they drive much better than they look - which is probably just as well! :)

Just not my taste at all, but the important thing OP is that you are enjoying it.

I think it looks great :D

Something a bit mad and wild, like a 7 year old designed it.

Quite like the GT86 Aero too but at least this thing has the performance to back but the mad looks.

As I above I'm not a fan of the styling and the back is horrendous. Bet it's an absolute blast to drive and loads of fun for a track day. Happy driving

Still not conpletely convinced on the new saloonish shape styling, too similar to the old impreza/evos.

However cant fault honda for being outthere and keeping the type r alive

i drove one of these yesterday and it impressed me more than the cayman gt4 test drive!!! what a friggin car!!! i can tell you this, this thing will murder your average sports car , z4m cayman S ( new or old) lower carrera models would get battered on a back road , seriously honda went to town on the driving ability of this thing, the engine is nuts!!!

Really like these. Would never be brave enough to own one myself, but there’s no doubting the care that’s gone into making them great driver’s cars and something that stands out from the pack.

Hyundai i30N I quite fancy though. :driving:

this car left me speechless!! i wanted it so bad but I'm waiting for the new fiesta ST, if that doesnt tickle my Hot hatch fancy it will either be a new meganne RS, or the civic Type R, my household MUST have a hot hatch! The most used car by some margin in my life, it does the lot, carry the kids, take me and my trail bike all over the shop and still be able to dissect a back road as quick as my highly modded z4m ( where that car feels pretty damn scary)

Havent driven one as it doesnt fit the suv/lux/comfort brief im after, however saw one up close at the dealer and geez its got fussy styling, however it did look mean the black with red trimlines was very SR71 inspired.

I would say it’s hondas surrogate child from evo/scoob parents with a 2wd genetic defect.

My local dealer was offering £3500 off a new one, so stick that to the ved bollocks.
