OK
So I bought my 2.2 Z4 with the EPS Light on. The steering is fine at speed but obviously heavy when parking maneuvering.
1. Fuse is check and is fine
2. Did grease nipple "mod" to assist when fixed which helped slow maneuvering massively.
3. Lubricated other visible steering joints under the bonnet.
4 Purchased GT1 software, says no communication possible from EPS unit.
I have driven 1000 miles in the car in the last week, The steering worked for over an hour in the last 100 miles after stopping the car turning off the ignition etc so I know the EPS does work
I thought it may be the steering angle sensor and I could calibrate it but the GT1 only lets you set the wheels straight ahead, not do a full calibration?? (like you tube videos out there show for other models)
Any techies who could shed some opinions??
