EPS Light and Power Steering loss on full lock mainly

hi, not long had my 2006 3.0 si roadster. Noticed when i put the car on full lock, EPS comes on, and power steering is lost, until ingition is turned off then back on, then all is fine. Any ideas?

Hoping it doesnt need new steering rack and all the electronics. I know this was a common thing on the fiats and their electric steering
