Hey guys,
Just wanted to check in and get your guys opinion on a new problem i have on my 03 3.0 Z4 (66k). I am experiencing quite a bit of engine vibrations especially under load (ie if in gear and at a red light (automatic)). My first thoughts where that there might be misfires, or a batch of bad gas so i added some octane bust and a new gas. This did not resolve the problem. Next i bought the car to a my BMW team who suggested and checked the engine mount and engine sensors for damage and errors. There where none, both the engine mounts and transmission mounts passed visual inspections; i did upgrade the car software to the newest one. Still did not fix the problem, next i changed all six spark plugs to bosh 4 tip platinum this has not resolved the problem either. Still a lot of vibrations of the engine that can be felt in the car, especially when holding on to the steering wheel. Currently the only other option i have is to replace the engine mounts to ensure 100% that they are not at fault but before i spend money on visually good looking engine mounts i wanted to get some ideas from you guys. Has anyone else had this problem, or could think of another problem that could cause this?
