Anyone come across this message on their display screen before? It's on an E89 Z4 (35i manual).
ENGINE START FAULT!
Please open and close the driver's door. Remove and insert the remote control into the ignition lock.
In case of repeat occurrence, have the system checked by your BMW Service.
Pressed the start button and got nothing. Tried opening and closing the door a few times and removing and replacing the key then it went back to working OK.
Can I reset the fault warning without a code reader?
