I just bought my Z4 yesterday. I want to change the oil. Does anyone know what's recommended for a 2.0? Oh, and while I'm at it, are any particular spark plugs good for these engines?
Not sure about what grade of oil, i think it says in the rear of the car book. However I was speaking to a BMW Specialist yesterday who informed me these cars really benefit from an oil flush when you change the oil, something you may also want to do when you get around to changing it.

Go and check Opie Oils.....can't remember if we are a registered site (can someone remind me and the OP?) but their discount prices (and frequent offers) are terrific.....Castol Edge is the stuff you need and I think they will do plugs too.
Tesco also had Edge on special offer recently; I suspect thats finished but worth looking just in case.
Hmmmnn... May give it an oil flush then. I'll probably buy the oil from halfords, I have a trade card and oil ends up particularly cheap. The question is what type. I've now gathered it should be fully synthetic, just whether to get 5 30 or 5 40?
Although whilst writing this I've just phoned up and ordered a couple of tyres. The garage quoted £33 for fully synthetic oil and filter change. Think I'll just go with that, it's cheap enough that it's more hassle than it's worth doing it myself; and I'll be there at the same time getting the tyres done.
