Engine knocking noise E85

After fitting my new wheels I took the girl out for spin and when parked up heard a strange deepish knocking noise from the front of the engine. Seems to be coming from the unit in front of the cylinder block under that large domed plastic cover. Doesn't seem to affect the car and I have no warning lights as yet but its slightly concerning. When you blip the throttle there's also some runoff rattle occurring too. The knock itself starts once the engine gets warmer and happens about three times a second.

Anybody any ideas? Is that the cambelt unit or am I looking at potential vanos issues? Like I say, its not affecting performance or idle speed etc but I am keeping an eye on it.

I have something similar at the moment and a search of the forum came up with this:

There are a couple of links within this thread to other threads on the subject.
I don't know if the symptoms fit yours, though, as it doesn't occur until your engine is warm.

Thanks ocala. I've listened to this and mine seems like a deeper knocking sound. Def coming from the vanos area hence my £ concern. Looked at some other threads and wondering if its dodgy seals. The oil level was not ridiculously low but low enough so I've topped it up with the forum recommended fully synthetic Castol.
