Engine Emissions Light On

Just today driving lunchtime on the M6, any quick checks before I take the car to an indy for checking??

Check air intake hoses etc, but most likely to be a lambda sensor

Have checked hoses no obvious issue but have run INPA with the following results

I have cleared the error just waiting now to see if it returns

Its been off now for over 2000 miles-took her to stealers and two different indies last time it came on -nothing conclusive between them :roll:

Pray tell, what are we checking for exactly on the air intake hose? As my light also came on yesterday. Blockage or leakage? Is there a sensor around there that would relay to the dash?

One of my intake hoses cracked, which triggered the emissions light. £60 for a new hose and I was sorted.

My light has extinguished now so looks like a sensitivity issue as I have seen with some other write up.

Mine comes on occasionally.

Usually after I've reversed on a cold morning straight from starting straight through my own fumes but also randomly at other times.

Tests always show nothing and the light always goes out after 4 or 5 runs at "normal" tempo.

I did state in another post that 97RON and an italian tune up seem to cure it, however 95 coupled to 2 commutes does as well.
