Engine Dying

Twice this morning, and it's done it before, pulling up to a roundabout, clutch down, braking to a stop and the engine just dies.

I'm going to do throttle body reset later to see if that solves it.

Has anyone else had this or know what causes (or fixes) it?

I've also had this happen a few times over the past couple of years so not very often. Same as you, clutch in and slowly coming up to a junction or roundabout.

I think its to do with the TPS that there are a few threads about on here. I think getting the them replaced would sort it but don't really know.

I've also had this happen a few times over the past couple of years so not very often. Same as you, clutch in and slowly coming up to a junction or roundabout.

I think its to do with the TPS that there are a few threads about on here. I think getting the them replaced would sort it but don't really know.

In my non ///M i had the same issue and i had the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) replaced under warranty. It was logged in fault store when BMW did the diags.

mine occasionally tho has not stopped , does feel a little ragged for the first quarter of a mile, but soon smoothes out and settles down,may just need a bit of a hoon to clear things out,
