engine cuts out when driving

Has anyone had this problem with there e86 (2006)?

I have no issues regarding acceleration ,high revs ,low revs or idle but a few times now after dropping through the gears as i come up to a round about the engine just cuts out ,no lights no noise ,just stops, if i put the clutch in and put into another gear it carries on as normal or if stationary it will fire up no problem and at no time do any warning lights come on :?
any ideas as to the cause would be very helpful.

When I first read it thought you had ‘start / stop’ fitted

I had this once in a MK2 16v Golf GTi back in the 80’s.

Fault was finally traced back to a hairline crack in one of the metal plate feeds in the fuse box.... PITA to diagnose... though just cutting out could be many things
