engaging sport mode

To be honest i find the throttle response in punter mode perfectly adequate -especially with all that low down torque -nice and useable to get through the gears

On my 3.0is I find Sport mode too twitchy for town-driving, but is great on country lanes. The throttle response is much improved (even if is purely psychological)....

The throttle response isn't psychological though, the button genuinely sharpens throttle response :?

Does anyone know if the change In throttle response in sport mode is materially different with the M and non M models

Not really, relative to the engine. Depends on how your adaptive throttle is set in 'normal' mode as well, if you do lots of town driving your normal throttle mode is supposed to be less responsive as opposed to if your gunning it round country roads all the time. I've not really noticed that much to be honest, but INPA will show how your throttle response is set. You can reset it easy enough though, lots of threads on that topic.

Ok I didn't actually appreciate that the normal throttle setting was adaptive to driving style ,in which case it will be stuck in slow mode .So do I take it that if for example I were to start driving with more enthusiasm ,the throttle would then re adapt as it were .Or am I talking nonesense .
