End of a Z4 roadster

Well I think ladies and gents, I may have ended my time with the Z4 a little premature. This is truly why mondays suck!!

I doubt it's even worth trying to fix. So there may well be some parts available soon. :(

What are the insurance people saying?

Fix it, scrap it or upgrade to an M?

eBay
Door: £135
Front wing:
£120
Sill: £65

Painting and fitting will be about £400 probably.

Jeez! That's bad luck. As long as all involved are ok?
I'm guessing the damage on both the door and the wing probably points at a fair degree of distortion in the A-pillar?
If not then maybe it's repairable?

Haven't assessed the a pillar yet. Might try and get all the panels off soon as it's at my mates unit.
All involved are ok thankfully, just one of those unfortunate events.

That's good news at least. It is after all pieces of metal and plastic.

What happened and who was at fault?

Momentary lapse in judgement, coupled with a blind spot.
Would be nice to get it fixed to be fair, but I need to be up and running asap.....so..........might keep it on the back burner for a bit??

Ouch! What did you hit? Hopefully some bolt on replacement panels will see it 95% fixed

s**t mon. Reminds me of the untimely death of my E36 323i dd. 20 years and 280k miles just to be summarily wiped out by an old duffer who claimed not to have seen the red light.
Silver lining was that it spurred me on to replace it with the zed!

If that was my zed i'd be looking at fixing it up and getting it back out on the road.
Crossed my mind to get the E36 fixed up but at 280k miles and a bent chassis member it just wasn't worth it.

That does look easily repairable form the pics tbh, just the A pillar in question as said. Shame to send that one to the crusher.

I'm definitely gonna Ng to check the a pillar out, and the rest of the car to be fair!! There's a possible replacement in the form of a 335d lined up. So the zed might get fixed and kept as a summer toy??? If funds allow

I hope it is fixable OP - keeping it as a summer toy would be a great idea if the numbers work.
