Hi everyone
My EWL came on the other day during a long journey down the M5. I took it to a garage and they provided me with the following information from the diagnostics:
29F4 CATALYTIC CONVERTER CONVERSION
FAULT CURRENTLY NOT PRESENT
FAULT WOULD CAUSE A WARNING LAMP (MIL) TO LIGHT UP
SAE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE P0420
They turned off the lamp and all was fine for 2 weeks until today when it came back on. They said it may come back up if there is a fault. Wondering if this would actually be the cat or an O2 sensor? The car has a BMW warranty on it so should be covered whatever it is (hopefully). Its a 2006 2.0i with 49k on the clock. Funny enough its due for its oil service just next week!
