Emissions light

Hi all
Was driving to work this morning and the sodding exhaust emission light came on, turned car off and drove it this evening but was still on. Only bought the car 2 months ao and done 700 miles, it's an AUC so called the garage. Booked in on on tue but they said may r may not be covered by warranty. Car seems to run m so assume its on O2 sensor, is that covered do people know?

When mine came on it turned out to be a cracked manifold! -dont want to scare you just what happened to me.

I assume the manifold was done under warranty. The car is only just 3 years old so annoying

The O2 sensor is covered by the AUC warranty.

So car went in for check on emission light, it was the manifold that had cracked. Not a gd start when I only bought the car 2.5 months ago and have done 800 miles. Was replaced under warranty. Do they just suddenly go or would itnhave been noticeable when it was prepared for sale to me by the BMW garage.

Also I have a rattle behind driver head all the time started a little while after buying the car, they said that it would cost 120 an hour to strip the car and look for the rattle and that he AUC warranty doesn't cover this and also as iv had the car 2.5 months they do not cover it either, any one else think this is a piss take . Wondering whether to try another dealer. The originally did me out of 800 quid when buying the car, got 500 back but I would never use them again totally awful aftercare. Once they had the deposite they were not interested any more.

Got the car back, exhaust manifold was replaced at a cost of 760,quid seems alot, luckily done under AUC

Looked again and that's 760 quid without vat, lol
