So, it looks like if I want the ///Mbossing (see what I did there ) on mine I'm going to have to either get a cheaper interior, an embossing kit, or get them embossed when I convert it to alcantara

I could always use my graphic design skills and create a realistic 3d-looking logo that looks like a real embossed logo - but I think I prefer being different anyway
I've removed the two side 'M's -too many on the car. But then I've gone and put a sticker type 'M' logo on the plastic panel above the cubby holes between the seats. :roll:
Too much plastic there really, I'd like to get some carbon fibre look leather trim onto that area to break it up a bit. The 'M' logos on the seats are a nice touch and I'm surprised you loose this when you up spec the interior. Typical BMW.
I agree Sammyz, but as you know its only standard on Imola Red Roadsters........its coz when the top is down you can see the pretty embossing in its full glory
