Took my knacked roof off to get at the roof motor the pump and motor were in 25 mil of water the boot cover useless drenched . but a big but the outer case of the pump etc rusted took it to bits the in side was not to bad i cleaned the amature and all the other bits wd it put it back on tried it i could not belive it ! 
it worked like brand new .i then drill holes in the pot where it all sits wraped it in bubble wrap sealed all i could blew out the drainage which was blocked . I think i may have saved £800 to a £1000 .ill be honest could not afford new pump etc so i had to look at a way of making it work.
