eibach question

Hi

I have a 20 i sport and i think it is lower than standard

i think the eibach spring gets it a further 15mm lower but i have also seen a eibach pro spring, do i need this one

not overly sure

Any one done this r point me in the right direction

Someone will no doubt correct me if I am wrong, but from the help given to me recently about ride heights yours should be 'stock' height (i.e. no lower than a normal zed) unless whoever bought it in the first place asked for 'sports suspension' or someone has put lowered springs on since (which is the case for me)

Early 3.0i and //M's have the 'sport suspension' which is 15mm lower than a standard zed. As you have a 2.0i it should be normal suspension. The eibachs will therefore drop you 30mm from where it sits now. Eibachs replacing sports suspension would obviously only drop 15mm from where it currently sits.

Here you go. I remember posting this before, once I thought about it.
You should therefore be 590 fr and 576 rear

The suggested BMW factory measure point is as follows:
Attach measure to rim flange at bottom middle and measure to lower edge of wheel arch. By rim size you should get:

Series (Standard)
Front Rear (MM)
16" 589 576
17" 605 592
18" 617 604
19" 630 617
20" 643 630

Sport or ///M suspension
Front Rear
16" 574 560
17" 590 576
18" 602 588
19" 615 601
20" 628 614

All should be +/- 10mm

measure from the bottom of your alloy to the arch and then look at the apprpriate wheel size you have and it will show you if you are 'standard' at the moment or not ...

That is an interesting chart.
Mine is a 2004 3.0 which is on 19'' wheels and should therefore have measurements of 615 and 601 but having just checked they are 615 and 617 which would make the front right and the rears the same as standard. :?
I'm now wondering if the rear springs have ever been replaced with standard springs instead of sports ones.
Is there anyway of checking? Is there a part number anywhere on the spring and if so and ideas what is should be?
