Eibach Pro Springs-Ride Improvement?

I've recently changed to 19" csl's and I've noticed a slight deterioration in ride (understandable when going from 18" to 19"). It's particularly skittish when travelling at higher speeds on less than smooth roads.

Will eibach springs improve things? Also, the tyres are very close to rubbing on full lock, will the lowering effect of the eibachs make this worse?

No. It's on the list but I'm waiting until I've decided whether to fit eibachs.

Would an alignment improve the ride quality?

My 3.0 E89 is on 19" 326M's, Eibachs and Bridgestones. It handles better than the original set up on stock springs and 18's. Slightly harsher ride - but my "middle" Z4 was also a 3.0, coupe, on 18's and Bridgestones - that was very skittish (and arguably a more involving drive and I still hanker after a Z4MC) so anything after that seems compliant to me.
 
I have Eibachs fitted and there is an improvement in pitch and roll as well as handling on the track, but not so much with respect to the harshness of the ride. I've significantly increased the front negative camber and this makes the car tramline like a pig on rough surfaces especially with my CSLs fitted. I find the ride on 224s with this set up better than the OEM setup but you won't cure the tramlining and poor ride on rough surfaces due to the CSLs by changing the springs.
I'm in the process of fitting coilovers at the moment and I'm expecting the ride to become harsher so I must be a sucker for punishment!

Personally, I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised if you use the softer end of the scale for the damping for road use. If you then also have a track set-up with much stiffer damper settings and are prepared to switch between the two, as and when required, you'll have the best of both worlds. :thumbsup:
 
I would normally agree but Beedub has advised me to take out dental insurance to pay for my broken teeth :D

At least you'll be able to take your dentures out when you go on track... :rofl:

Can you measure the diameter of the wire of both the front and rear springs in the middle coils of your Clubsports for me and I'll compare that to those of my KWV3 coilovers on my Z3MC to compare the spring rates. :thumbsup:
