Whats your view on if you buy sometime which has a buy now price and then you receive the following email:

Dear Buyer,

Earlier today a system error generated incorrect pricing across the product range in the BMW Direct eBay store. As a result, we are unable to fulfill your order and have refunded your money through paypal. We regret this has happened and apologise to you for any inconvenience caused.

Surely they must honour the price !!!! it is there fault...
 
It'll be the same get out that was used when that tyre company (mentioned on here) offered tyres for about £100 each (for top of the range 18/19" tyres).

Although normally most companies won't charge/invoice until they've confirmed the order - which in this case there seems to have been as you'll have paid straight away using BIN.

There's probably a T&C section which states they can refuse to supply if there's an error - especially if the error is a big one (i.e. a £2000 part for £20).

You should be able to tell whether something was a genuinely good price (i.e. 10-50% off), or an error (99% off).

Not much you can do I'm afraid. Exactly the same as when Tesco sold iPads at £50 instead of £500, everyone who ordered got a similar email and no purchase. :thumbsdown:
 
Oddly enough, I noticed something very peculiar going on with BMW Direct on eBay earlier on. Items which had been listed at £68 until this morning suddenly appeared as 'finished' but at £1 each. My guess is that their back office software has failed and that they have cancelled a load of their auctions before anyone else bought them at the very low prices.

I would get in touch with eBay about it... their customer protection is pretty good in my experience...

It was £2 each + postage at £2.95 so would have been £3.47 !!!!!!! If we had split the costs.
