Ebay woes (headlight upgrade a no go)

So there I was all lined up to buy a Left Side halogen headlight (headlamp) with black internals and clear turn indicator (with yellow bulbs) when low an behold the seller never claimed his paypal payment. Sent numerous emails to [email protected] (name not changed at all) to no avail. I had but one reply from him saying that he needed to claim the payment which he never did. Fast forward a few days I get an email saying he levied an unpaid item case against me. I sent even more emails to which there was no reply. So finally fed up with less than 24hrs till my magic pay deadline I contact Ebay cust. support chat. They advise me to cancel payment and they'll take the unpaid item off my record. I was allowed to leave feedback for the item. Unfortunately I was limited on length so I couldn't give an expanded view of what happened. Had to keep it simple :(

So now I'm back in the market for a Left side (aft looking forward) headlamp with black internals and clear turn indicator. Unfortunately it seems like he had the only one (I'm most likely not going through him again even if that's the case). So I guess I have a question out of all this (will do a search soon)
Are you able to change the lense for the turn signal from yellow to clear easily....or did it involve all the oven baking and reapplying sealant process?





Side question, should I say screw appearances and throw the right side light on the car and have one black one silver?
 
Crap one! on a plus side (as long as it's not the same one) ZermattV has posted one on the forum that's on eBay!
 
yep sorry aebus... didn't read this post in full before posting otherwise I'd have PM'd you.... having just read your tale wonder if it might be the same one too.
 
Yeah just saw that. Unfortunately as CJ pointed out it wouldn't be the same as a US spec light. Different seller too, mine was located in the US in Texas.
