Hi guys,

This is going to be a long one so buckle up. Its with a heavy heart to be writing this one up but here goes. Ive got my Alpine White e89 z4 2009 for sale with 117k (116,546 currently) on the clock and MOT till 16/09/2024.

Purchased at 55k and driven up to 100k in approximately 3.5 years 90% of which is motorway miles. Ive used it as a commuter car for myself but babied the hell out of it, warmed up before leaving off and filled her up with shell premium since the very start and now Costco premium. (its never touched normal fuel in my ownership and I know I dont need to fill it with premium however it gave me a sense of security about the engine i also have shell’s in app transactions receipts to prove this). 100k - 117k again has been mainly motorways but during covid till now Ive been working mainly from home with frequent trips to the office in Manchester.

Reason for sale: I know people dont really care, but plan on trading it in to purchase a car for my mother, might as well open it up to you guys before I do. With sale prices being silly and it being a buyers market at the moment id rather give you guys the ability to have first dibs on a potential steal.

Car Specs:
Auto
Sport heated seats
Front & Rear parking sensors
Cruise control (retrofitted)
Closing side mirrors (coded to close on lock press for couple seconds)
Replaced halogen bulb with white LED see post (coded to 100% brightness at all times)
Coded in digital speedometer
Dash-cam installed into fusebox (will power on with car) i can include the dash-cam just not the memory card.
2 set of keys (looking for the second set as we speak)
Audio via aux however I’ve got aux to bluetooth adapter in armrest (can leave if you’d like)
Cup holders in arm rest as well as snap in adapter port (never used it or have a snap in)
I installed an alcantara steering wheel wrap (see bad bits if your picky)
Installed an alcantara add-on on shifter for additional 10bhp 😂
Original Wind deflector included

Service history:

Bad bits:
Alloys will defo need a refurb. (I ran CM wheels 763m on them however I’ve sold them off and put these original split rims back on for about two years, I live on terrace housing so curb rash is quite hard to not do)

The wheels are slightly better looking than the pictures show, I got quite lazy scrubbing them down and it was super cold (I dont usually wash the car during the winter)

The paintwork has its fair share of stone chips, Ive gained a little supermarket ding recently, but overall its not in the worst state considering its been used on motorway runs.

(Nit picky bits:)
Age related marks stone chips
minor scuffs on interior centre trim due to standard use.
Slight fraying on driver side seatbelt.

Ive given the Steering wheel alcantara a nice deep clean super soft however will probably need retrimming at some stage, I did it myself with the original leather underneath.

Extra information:

5 owners (i didn’t realise the amount of owners at purchase i was too busy dazzled with the car, my fault for not checking). Ive looked after it exceptionally well in my ownership and Ive done great miles in it so i hope this doesn’t put you off. This car drives better than the day I purchased it and has not let me down.

Ive de-badged the vehicle minus the z4 logo on the rear, however I do have the badges still.

Really proud of the MOT history of the vehicle dont hesitate to snoop.
Private plate will come off before sale.

(Ive tried to be as honest as possible and super brutal, Ive spent 1000s with the idea of keep this for the long term however international move forces this to go. if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask)

Test drives are welcome as long as you can show proof of temp insurance

I understand the market for these cars isn't the best, however do let me know your thoughts on the price if your just browsing.

Pictures to follow in post below

That looks like a cheap E89 for someone even with a couple of issues. GLWTS.

Looks like it has front and rear pdc too.

OK seeing as you asked:

Write up and mechanical history is very good. Price is good. MOT history is very good.

However:
The pictures are woeful IMO. The wheels let the car down massively and you have highlighted them in 6 of the 10 pictures. To me it looks like a neglected car cosmetically.
Why is there a dead dog on the passenger seat?

£20 of silver paint would make the wheels look a lot better, even if they are shot (which they are).

GLWTS though, as it does seem mechanically very good.

hahaha thank you and rightly so for the criticism, The alloys do need a full refurb 100% but they are better than how they look on the photos, Il give it a good clean and re-upload some more photos tomorrow.

As for the dead dog, thats just my coat in the passenger seat.

Il spend a little more care into taking proper photo's for anyone thats interested but thank you for the feedback!

Cant see anything about service on auto gearbox (about 8years or 80k miles?)

Get wheels cleaned up, but for about £5k looks a reasonable buy to me GLWS

That’s a realistic price in the market…always a debate as how much effort to put in to assist the sale..

GLWTS
