amazing (i.e., with all that electronic stuff you should easily be able to bring a spaceship to the moon and back safely)

No!!!!!

You got it wrong, we Brits were on left side of the road even in cart track days. A well proven formula that allowed the man on horseback to defend himself with his sword - it was old old Bonaparte who piddled about with the scheme!
Even the old Wells Fargo stage coach driver was on the right hand side of the vehicle! :lol:
