E89 Recall

We'll hear soon enough I'm sure - doesn't look like a big job...hopefully.It happened to me....at 70mph in the fast lane on a freeway, in traffic ...in the dark !
NO lights...no dash info ..no hazards and no way to shift out of 7th gear and no way to lock or unlock any doors or boot.
Try changing lanes in the dark at 70 mph with no lights ...with traffic in both lanes on my side of the #1 Highway, a four lane divided highway.

I eventually got over and had to coast in 7th with a dead engine , and car..... for a mile until it stopped. IT COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE
Get it fixed....if you don't have a recall in the UK yet .... raise supreme s**t and get it done.
I was so pissed at almost being killed I put the car up for sale..and sold it , now I have an Audi...no more newer BMWs for me. Let's hope they don't use the same parts manufacturer

Oh yeah, I forgot to say...they had the car for 6 weeks.. PUMA case, total reflash of everything , kept losing parts ordered from Germany (somewhere down east kept stealing them). There must have been a rush of jobs on the connection box that no-one mentioned.

Wow that's really bad... how lucky are you.. I can understand you losing your love affair with BMW after that experience
